Maren is a postdoctoral fellow developing statistical methods for spatial omics analysis and for understanding patterns of treatment response in lymphoma. With a background in mathematics and a fascination for the complexity of biological systems, she is passionate about working together with researchers from different scientific backgrounds and making statistical methods accessible.
During her PhD in biostatistics at the Institute of Medical Biometry and Statistics, University of Freiburg, she developed statistical and machine learning methods for small, heterogeneous, and longitudinal biomedical datasets. Her research included approaches for structured dimensionality reduction in single-cell omics and for modeling disease trajectories in clinical cohorts.
Outside research, she enjoys spending time with her family, singing and music, and being outdoors.
